From tracking my sex drive using Mood Runner Mood & Period Tracker, I’ve noticed that my sex drive is closely related to my energy level and mood. When I feel energetic, I tend to feel more sexual and in a more elevated mood, and vise versa. This is really no surprise. According to traditional Chinese medicine, sexual health is the function of the yang, or fire energy, of the kidney-adrenal network. Yang energy may wane due to health issues, unhealthy lifestyle, stress, or emotional blockages. When the yang fire is deficient, you tend to experience lower energy, sex drive and moods. A simple and quick way to fire up your sexual energy is “the breath of fire,” especially when focused on the first Chakra located at your perineum, the root of sexual energy. I’m going to share with you a simple technique I learned from my favorite Kundalini yoga teacher, Maya Fiennes.
Now close your eyes and begin the breath of fire. If you have not tried the breath of fire before, you’ll find it one of the most energizing and detoxifying breathing exercises you’ve ever experienced. It’s a process of breathing where the air is pulled in and pumped out through the nose in short, strong, rapid, rhythmic bursts, with the emphasis on the exhaled breath.
Concentrating on these bursts of exhaled breath, continue a strong, rapid and consistent rhythm – the breath of fire – for one to three minutes. As you do, you’ll begin to feel the exquisite sexual energy circulating, penetrating and embracing every cell of your body. It’s a simple and great way to pump some life force into your body when you need it. Check it out for yourself, and don’t forget to use your Mood Runner Mood & Period Tracker to monitor how this affects your energy, mood, and sex drive. Soon you’ll find it doesn’t take much to feel sexier and happier and more energetic. Related Articles:Do You Have Side Effects from Birth Control Pills?
